Useful Information

The conference is in Nouméa, the largest city of New Caledonia. The conference room is located in The Nouvata Parc Complex in the heart of Nouméa’s main tourist area and the most beautiful beaches of the city.

Important points
1. There will be no taxis or shuttle buses waiting at the aeroport. To reach Nouméa you will have to use private shuttles, taxis or rent a car and contact them before your arrival in order they pick up. (Please see below for contact information.)

2. We recommend you obtain local money prior to arrival or at the airport (you will need it to pay the transfer to Noumea) : CFP franc or XPF franc, called "franc" in everyday use. If extra currency is needed, you may exchange currency at banks near the Conference venue. (Please see below for currency information.)

Travel from the International Airport to Nouméa
La Tontouta International Airport is the main international airport on New Caledonia. It is located approximately 52 km northwest of Nouméa.
Directions: From Airport La Tontouta take the RT1 Motorway, following signs to Noumea and the Center. Head towards Baie de l'Orphelinat, then drive towards Baie des Citrons and Anse Vata via the coastal road. The Nouvata Parc Complex is located on Anse Vata-Roger Laroque Street.

Language
The official language is French but English is frequently spoken.

Currency
The currency of New Caledonia is the CFP Franc (French Pacific Franc). The rate is pegged to the Euro at a fixed equivalent parity.

Passport and Visa
A valid passport is required to travel to New Caledonia.
